Q: Do you have a kosher restaurant?

A: Milky Way at 2120 Murray Ave is a dairy (Chalav Yisroel) restaurant, certified by the Vaad HaKashrus of Pittsburgh. Their phone number is 412-421-3121.

Q: Are there any stores selling kosher food?

A: Murray Avenue Kosher, located at 1916 Murray Ave. is a complete kosher supermarket. They can be reached at 412-421-4450.
Giant Eagle Supermarket, located at 1901 Murray Ave has an in-store kosher bakery (pareve) and sells many other kosher foods throughout the store.

Q: Where can I find an Orthodox Minyan?

A: There are many orthodox minyanim in Pittsburgh. Lubavitch Center at 2100 Wightman Street has daily minyanim at the following times:
Sunday 8:00 AM
Monday & Thursday 6:55 AM, 7:40 AM, 8:15 AM
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7:05 AM and 7:40 AM 8:15 AM

Q: What hotels are near the Jewish neighborhood?

A: During the week, there are a number of hotels within 2 miles of the Jewish community in Squirrel Hill. You might consider Hampton Inn-University Center, Quality Inn University Center, Courtyard Pittsburgh Shadyside, Wyndham Pittsburgh Oakland.
Unfortunately, all of those are a good distance from the Shuls.

Alternatively, you may contact Yeshiva Schools/Lubavitch Center 412-422-7300 to arrange for home hospitality.

Q: Does Pittsburgh have an Eruv?

A: Squirrel Hill is surrounded by an Eruv, enabling one to carry items outdoors on Shabbat. Click here for more information

A: Pittsburgh has a mikvah for women - call 412-422-7110 for appointments.
